The only difference I've noticed between the components within the Target Designer is in the resources section. If I specifically point it to the INF that I used to generate the component, it installs fine. (Error 0x57 is ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER according to 'Common FBA Log File Errors') When I try to reinstall the driver, if I let Windows find the driver automatically, I get an invalid parameter error. Within the FBA log, I get the line: " SetupDiCallClassInstaller Error: 0x57, Device: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family". When the image is loaded and FBA runs, there are no errors or warnings displayed on the screen, but then on the normal boot the display is 640x480 and the second video display shows up as "VGA-compatible" or whatever the default is. They both use the same INF file, and when I import the INF with Component Designer, all dependencies pass and the image builds properly.

In the device manager under a proper install from a full copy of XP, they both show up as "Mobile Intel(R) 9456 Express Chipset Family". The motherboard has both a DVI and a VGA output on it, and I am currently only using the VGA output but I will need to be able to use either. I'm using XPe SP2 on a PC with Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family.
